A specialist assessment helps you to make sense of the changes and particular psychological or cognitive difficulties that you are experiencing. Such an assessment can provide diagnosis and recommendations for the future. Our assessments also identify personal strengths in order to help you find ways around individual challenges. We also provide assessments for legal purposes and working towards completing Bond Solon. If a medico-legal assessment and report is needed we can provide this on instruction from a solicitor.
Some examples of our specialist assessments include:
- Neuropsychological screening or full testing, following brain injury, neurological disease, stroke, brain tumours, dementia, or other illness affecting cognitive (memory, concentration) ability,
- Testing, diagnosis and recommendations for people experiencing developmental issues affecting ability/education and life choices including dyslexia, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and other learning difficulties.
- Psychological assessment, screening and recommendations for people experiencing particular forms of psychological distress, such as post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression etc.
Following a testing or screening, we provide a psychological /neuropsychological report.
Advice and counselling support can be given to understand that report and how it can be used to enable work, education, important relationships or other life choices.
Psychological therapy can also be provided.
We are registered with private insurance companies including Axa, Prudential and BUPA and can discuss registration with any others.
