an approach that works for you

Therapy that is specific to you as the unique person you are

a range of approaches
to suit you:

Adults

Many people come to us for individual work because they are in significant distress in their everyday life. This might be your first time in therapy or part of a journey. We will work alongside you and support you to develop a better understanding of yourself and your problems.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing)

EMDR can help people recover from distressing events and the problems they have caused, like flashbacks, upsetting thoughts or images. It can help the brain reprocess memories so we can be more able to cope with the emotional impact of the memory.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a talking therapy designed to help people manage their problems by changing the way they think and behave. It aims to encourage us to become more aware of negative thoughts and of the behavioural patterns which reinforce our unhelpful thinking.

Systemic/Family therapy

No-one lives their life in isolation. Each of us is one part of a wider network or ‘system’. In systemic/family therapy we aims to help everyone understand each other better, develop new ways to talk to each other and create an environment of mutual support.

Families & young people

The systemic family therapy training allows me to feel confident to support young people and families with problems that arise and have an impact upon all members of the family. I offer this with an individual therapist and in some cases I can work with you and your family as a consulting team.

Legal, Local authority and insurance referral

We recognise that much of the work that we do for the courts, insurance and health providers or local authorities is specialist. We can offer you a comprehensive assessment with recommendations and therapy for all types of individuals and family work. We can offer you our terms and fee structure this work upon request.
