Trauma
Trauma can refer to a number of experiences either in childhood or more recently that have left you with feelings of distress. You may find that these experiences impact upon your ability to get what you need from relationships and care for yourself.
Anxiety
People come to us saying they are worrying about lots of different things, that it is difficult to sleep, eat, think clearly and plan your day. The worry sometimes feels like it comes from no where and sometimes it is only in certain situations. Sometimes these thoughts take over everything else and are hard to ignore. Often this anxiety affects our bodies from the effort of holding things together.
Depression
I recognise that there may be a range of experiences in your life that has left you feeling very low, that everything is an effort. It may be hard to care for yourself and to know what it is that you need. People tell us that they often feel alone even in relationships.
SelF worth/esteem
Sometimes its difficult to give a name to how we feel but people notice they lack any confidence in themselves, that they feel very critical of themselves. Sometimes this can be a more recent thought and feeling about oneself and for others its been with them a long time.
